Priced in the lower half of this category.
Cutting Matsanezus 12inch$8.99 4.6 out of 5 stars · 21,006 ratings
The least expensive pick in this category, which makes it the low-risk way to find out whether you'll keep at it; the surface is self-healing, so rotary cuts close up instead of scarring into a groove that steers your next cut.

Our read
Written from the manufacturer's listing, the published specs and public owner feedback. We research and analyse — we don't lab-test, and we don't claim to have stitched with this ourselves. Reviewed by the SewingPath team · Hilly Shore Labs · updated October 8, 2026.
Priced in the lower half of this category; the listing claims a non-slip surface, which is the difference between a straight cut and a ruined strip.
We haven't handled this one — everything above comes from the manufacturer's listing, so check the spec against your own machine and fabrics before buying.
MANUFORE or Fiskars 6 x 24 ruler?
Same 6 by 24 inch size. The MANUFORE's selling point is its non-slip coated surface; the Fiskars counters with two-toned markings that stay visible on light and dark fabric, plus 30, 45 and 60 degree angle lines for cutting bias and triangles.
